I just ran across your website and I am so inspired!!! I truly admire what you have done with your art career. I am an emerging artist and I work in graphite pencil also. I graduated from NCSU with a degree in animal science and worked at a biopharma company as a researh scientist for 5 years. I grew so tired of corporate America and the windowless laboratory that I decided to make a huge leap and try to turn my art hobby into a new career. I have been doing this since September of last year and I am quite bummed out to be honest. I’ve been hoping it’s the economy and not the fact that I’m totally missing something. Anyway, I was fishing around on the internet today looking for more art booth ideas and found your site. I’ve been doing art and craft fairs all summer and have not a sold a single peice. I’ve been thinking about having to go back to the dreadful laboratory until I saw your site. I would love to be able to pick your brain about some things and find out how long it took you to become such and accomplished artist. I realize it would be sortof like an interview and most people don’t like those but I would be extremely greatful. Art is my passion and I am determined to make a living doing something I love.
